Departments

Departments model the structure of your community — divisions, teams, or sub-groups, each with its own ranks, roster, and applications.

A department public page

Ranks and rosters

Each department has a ladder of ranks. Members hold a rank, and the full list by rank is the department's roster — the single source of truth for who's in the department and where they sit. The public page renders the ladder proportionally.

Applications

Departments accept applications so people can request to join. Accepted applicants are added to the roster at the join rank you configure.

1

Build the application form.

Add the questions applicants answer, and set the join rank.

2

Review submissions.

Accept or reject as they arrive; accepted members join the roster automatically.

Linked departments

Departments can be linked so they're managed together. Server admins and members with department permissions can see and act on every linked department, not just their own.

The public page

Every department gets a public page anyone can view without joining your server — a stats band, the rank ladder, public documents and spreadsheets, and a sticky apply bar. It carries the department's accent color and banner, and it's tuned for mobile.
